Joy

I painted Joy last summer, outside in the garden.

Warm days, my children playing around me,
and a quiet sense of ease that stayed with me throughout those weeks.

There was a lightness in that period -
as if everything was already there,
just waiting to be touched.

This painting carries that feeling.

A kind of joy that doesn’t come from outside,
but appears the moment you connect with something within -
something that has been waiting to be seen.

For April, Joy is available as a limited A2 edition.

Alongside it, I created a small series of twelve prints,
each one hand-finished with gold in the studio.

A subtle extension of the work,
as if the light continues to evolve.
