A monumental, introspective figure defined by a striking contrast between light and shadow. The dramatic side lighting divides the face into two distinct worlds, while the closed eyes suggest an inward gaze. Strong colours, graphic shapes and delicate details create a tension between stillness and intensity.
Part of an ongoing body of work - The Deserted Girl - centered around themes like intimacy, nostalgia and emotional fields.
This is an original, one of a kind work.
