A young figure wearing a polka-dot swimming cap stands in front of a brick wall, perhaps at the edge of a swimming pool. Her slightly gloomy expression seems at odds with the cheerful promise of a summer's day. Summer's Day captures that familiar contrast between expectation and reality, with a touch of humour and nostalgia.
Part of an ongoing body of work - The Deserted Girl - centered around themes like intimacy, nostalgia and emotional fields.
This is an original, one of a kind work.
