A serene figure holding a single candle, surrounded by soft, glowing light. Her elaborate dress is filled with colourful, flowing patterns that emerged intuitively during the painting process, creating a lively contrast with her stillness. Flare brings together light, harmony and a sense of quiet contemplation.
In 2023, this painting was selected as the image for my annual Christmas card, reflecting its atmosphere of warmth and light.
Part of an ongoing body of work - The Deserted Girl - centered around themes like intimacy, nostalgia and emotional fields.
This is an original, one of a kind work.
